Teaching scenarios describe classroom situations and methodology providing instructions on how to perform activities, what kind of responses to anticipate, how to connect them with intended learning outcomes, estimate the student’s workload etc.
MERIA teaching scenarios comprise five classroom situations.
Scenarios provide an environment for inquiry-based learning and development of mathematical reasoning skills, contain instructions on organizational principles and learning outcomes related to generic competences and instructions for implementation in that environment.
Teaching Scenarios have been developed by experts from the University of Ljubljana, Utrecht University, National Education Institute of Slovenia, University of Copenhagen, University of Zagreb (PMF, FER, FOI), Vordingborg Gymnasium and XV. Gymnasium.
