Teaching scenarios describe classroom situations and methodology providing instructions on how to perform activities, what kind of responses to anticipate, how to connect them with intended learning outcomes, estimate the student’s workload, assess the student’s progress etc.
MERIA teaching scenarios will comprise five classroom situations. Scenarios will provide an environment for inquiry-based learning and development of mathematical reasoning skills, contain instructions on organizational principles and learning outcomes related to generic competences and instructions for assessment methods in that environment. Teaching Scenarios will be developed by the University of Ljubljana in cooperation with experts from Utrecht University, National Education Institute of Slovenia, University of Copenhagen, University of Zagreb, Vordingborg Gymnasium and XV.
